About
Human-Led, Science-Backed
Support for adults helping youth
Built for real moments
What Anchor Point Is
Anchor Point is a human-led, science-backed ecosystem built to help adults understand youth behavior, regulation, and the brain in a simple, usable way.
The work is grounded in the belief that behavior is often communication, coping, dysregulation, overwhelm, or a response to what is happening in the brain and body.
Anchor Point helps adults move from shame, confusion, and reactivity toward calm, clarity, confidence, and connection.
Educators & School Teams
- Understand what may be underneath behavior in the classroom.
- Use shared language around regulation, effort, focus, and safety.
- Strengthen response plans across the school day.
Caregivers, Therapists & Helping Professionals
- Support more consistent responses across homes, programs, and care teams.
- Translate complex brain science into practical steps.
- Keep guidance usable when emotions run high.
Who We Are
Anchor Point was created by Trudy Beicht and Kimberly Lockman, who bring over 40 years of combined experience in educational psychology, special education, behavioral health, crisis response, and direct support of families and youth.
Together, they translate complex brain and nervous system concepts into accessible language that real people can use in real moments, keeping the tone human and the science underneath the guidance.
Their mission is to help adults understand what is underneath youth behavior so they can respond with more clarity, calm, and compassion.
